The Spark Behind Insight

A live moment that changed everything.

While troubleshooting a voice quality issue at a data center in Germany, one of our engineers accidentally heard a live elder abuse scam. The caller was impersonating the victim's grandson, claiming he had been arrested and desperately needed $7,000 sent to a "lawyer."

The deception struck a nerve. That engineer had seen his own mother lose her retirement savings to a similar phone scam. Determined to make a difference, he pushed our team to take meaningful action. After an intense discussion, we committed a full year of resources to develop a system that could identify and block scam calls in real time — not just report them later.

That system became Insight. Today it actively monitors calls, detects fraud as it happens, and terminates connections to protect vulnerable individuals from exactly the kind of attack that sparked its creation.
